Housing America Received A $20,000 Grant From Bank Of America For Foreclosure Preventioin

Somerton, AZ November 1, 2008 -- Housing America Corporation was awarded a grant of $20,000 from Bank of America; for Post-Purchase Counseling to assist families in Yuma County with foreclosure intervention services.

The Post-Purchase Counseling program offers services to families facing foreclosure including, loss mitigation, one on one counseling, foreclosure prevention workshop, and the counselor also serves as a mediator between the family and the lender. Additionally, the counselor also helps the family create a workout plan to avoid foreclosure. Another service offered through the Post-Purchase is education and counseling for current homeowners on maintaining long term homeownership. The Post-Purchase Counseling program does not have income restrictions. Housing America is a HUD approved counseling agency.
